Felt-tip pen, ink and graphite meet in this intimate drawing from 1998. Their different qualities allow line and density to shift across the paper, giving the act of drawing a varied physical presence. Drawing remained a constant within Louise Bourgeois’s changing practice, offering a space in which memory, relationships and bodily experience could take forms distinct from her sculpture.
