About the artist

Bengt Rosenström (b. 1953) is a Swedish artist and furniture designer who has worked in Ängelholm since the early 1990s. His practice encompasses sculptural furniture, painted wooden reliefs and metal mobiles (Galleri Kroken).

His furniture combines carefully worked timber with polished or brushed metal, often using richly coloured veneers and arrangements of numerous small drawers (Galleri Kroken). Unique pieces such as Berlin (2006) bring together functional design and a distinctly sculptural approach to form.

Alongside these works, his suspended mobiles and assembled wooden compositions explore balance, colour and spatial relationships (Bukowskis). His work has been presented by Galleri Kroken and offered at Swedish auction houses including Bukowskis and Stockholms Auktionsverk.
