About the artist

Tova Berglund was born in 1986 and is based in Stockholm; she took a bachelor's degree in ceramics and glass at Konstfack in 2017 (Lunds konsthall). Her gallery writes that it was never ceramics that interested her as a student but the material itself, clay and plaster, and that she hides plaster behind fabric to form small figures that recall children's soft toys (Cornelia Sojdelius Gallery). Lunds konsthall describes her subject as basic feelings such as grief, jealousy and love, with the teddy bear recurring across her drawings and sculptures (Lunds konsthall).

She is represented by Cornelia Sojdelius Gallery in Stockholm and has shown at Konsthall C, Salong Sergel and Signal in Malmö, and in 2022 five of her drawings were shown at billboard scale at Lund Central Station (Lunds konsthall). Her later exhibitions include Väsby Konsthall in 2024 and Eskilstuna Konstmuseum in 2026 (Konstkalendern). An untitled glazed and painted ceramic sculpture by her, about 35 cm high and 43 cm wide, was sold at Bukowskis in Stockholm in 2023 (Bukowskis).
