About the artist

Grizelda Kitching is an artist and printmaker from Peckham, south-east London, who studied MA Fine Art Printmaking at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London. Her practice is mainly paper-based and process-led: she usually starts from a photograph and responds to it through colour and mark-making, arriving at abstract, spontaneous pieces made with mono-screenprint. Nature and the changing seasons are a frequent source, and Jealous Gallery London publishes her print editions (Copeland Park).

She was one of three Jealous Prize winners for 2016/17, alongside Margaux Valengin and Clare Price, and made a screenprint edition during the prize residency in the Jealous Print Studio. The gallery described her work as combining screenprinting, mono print, painting and collage with digital processes (Artweek).
